That's cool. Most of the stuff on twitter and facebook turns me off but I can see how they can really be a link used the right way.

What makes someone a "top web developer"? Is it the company they work for (Apple, Google ...) or is it because they have a blog that a lot of people visit? I was just wondering where this list came from. You didn't explain that in the blog post. Thanks.

Some do, some don't - some talk about webdev *part* of the time. But even if they're not all webdev all the time, they're good to have as resources if you get stuck, need inspiration, etc. I have lots of industry people on my follow list. Not all of them talk shop 24/7, but I like that too.

Don't forget @ElizabethN, @snipeyhead, @maggie1000 for wimmin devs. @snipeyhead wrote a few books, and @ElizabethN and @maggie present at conferences, IIRC
